A CLOSER LOOK
An entry sensor can provide a simple status check: whether a particular opening has changed between open and closed. The small host and magnet mount on the two parts of the opening, while a compatible gateway brings the event into the app. Use the log to review the sensor’s activity, recognizing that it records an opening event rather than identifying the person who used it.
Explore the specificationsThe host and magnet provide a listed open/close monitoring function for a suitable door or window. Fit and align them according to the actual instructions, then test the event before relying on notifications.
Up to seven days of activity logs are listed in the app. That gives you a recent event history to consult, without pretending that an open/close sensor can identify who entered or left.
Family sharing offers a way for permitted users to access the compatible app setup. Manage account access deliberately, and check low-battery reminders so the small sensor remains maintained.
The source states that a Zigbee gateway is required and sold separately.
No. An open/close activity log records sensor events, not the identity of a person.
